This week, Kumwe Harvest’s Director Alexandra Sanderson was invited by the World Bank and IFC to attend the 2018 Development Finance Forum: Unlocking Investment Opportunities in the East African Community. The conference was officially opened by Axel van Trotsenburg - Vice President at the World Bank - and H.E. Paul Kagame - President of the Republic of Rwanda.

The DFF aims to bring together the stakeholders that can change the risk-return landscape in developing countries - both to achieve clarity on the roles each has to play, and to explore promising ideas, initiatives, and partnerships that need extra impetus to become successful.

Kumwe Harvest is proud to have been selected as one of ten innovative SMEs to meet with World Bank Vice-Presidents amongst others to discuss the barriers to investment and access to finance that SMEs in East Africa face.

Alexandra attended the meeting alongside fellow entrepreneurs in Rwanda.
